The Ohio Union Wedding Receptions
While its not the only room to have a wedding reception in, the Archie Griffin Ballroom is jewel of The Ohio Union. This ballroom also happens to be one of the largest in Central Ohio and can hold over 350 guests!
The Performance Hall is also a very popular room for weddings. While its not quite as large, this has a large stage which overlooks the entire room.
Both of these ballrooms have large video screens that are hidden from view. But if you want to use them for showing off a memory video, it makes it very easy to do so.

Wedding Ceremonies At The Ohio Union
With such a large venue you will have several different options avialable to host your wedding ceremony. You can also have your ceremony close to Mirror Lake which would make it a very short (and pleasant) stroll from the Ohio Union.
You also have the option of having your ceremony inside the Ohio Union. There are multiple rooms that you can use for your ceremony of course. If you want to have the same room for both your ceremony and reception, your guests can enjoy their cocktail hour in the foyers.
Wedding Pictures At The Ohio Union
Is there any better place to get wedding pictures than the Ohio Union if you are a Buckeye fan? (OK lets exclude Ohio Stadium from this debate LOL)
There are just so many great places to have your wedding pictures taken because there subtle and obvious reference to Ohio State. So you can get your picture taken with the bronze Brutus, or you can pose on the great seal!
The OSU Oval / Mirror Lake is also a very quick walk from this venue which makes its so great for pictures.

There are some restrictions on weddings during the summer and when school is not in session. So if you are considering those dates you will need to check with the Ohio Union in advance.
You should also be aware of the OSU football schedule when considering the Ohio Union.
You have several very nice hotels not too far from the Ohio Union. You can go south and get to the downtown area. Or if you go west you can get the Grandview area. Both are great options because they are close by.
